Qantas Next Generation Check-in and Q Bag Tag at Sydney Domestic Terminal

Qantas announced last week that the Next Generation Check-in, as well as the ground-breaking Q Bag Tag, will launch in Sydney on November 10, after a successful trial in Perth with outstanding customer feedback.

The development of this revolutionary technology and service platform was in response to customer feedback stating that "queuing was a point of pain," said Qantas CEO, Alan Joyce.

To use the Next Generation Check-in system, Qantas customers simply touch their Qantas card on the Q Card Readers, checking them in automatically within seconds, before dropping bags at the auto Bag Drop with another touch of their Qantas Card.

The Qantas Generation Service will be available at both Perth Domestic Terminal and Sydney T3 from November 10 and will continue to be progressively introduced throughout all major terminals within Australia by mid 2011.
