The island boasts unique rock formations, crystal clear pools, and caves ready to be explored. You won't be bored in Niue and you won't be there long before you realise that the long trip was absolutely worth it.

Things to do in Niue Island
Niue isn't your typical island with white sand beaches and palm trees. Niue is rocky and mysterious and has caves instead of beaches. But you'll still find plenty of things to do and you might even have the opportunity to try something new.
Matapa Chasm. The Matapa Chasm is a glorious spot for swimming and snorkelling that's completely surrounded by rugged cliffs. From the secluded area, you can hear the crashing waves of the nearby ocean.
Talava Arches. The Talava Arches were first admired by Captain Cook and today they are still one of the island's most beloved attractions. These rock arches require about a 45 minute hike and a guide, but the sight is well worth the walk.
Anapala Chasm. The Anapala Chasm is a beautiful swimming spot near the Hakupu Heritage Park. The pool is so steep that there are even handrails to assist you while stepping in to it. The waters are crystal and offer an amazing swim.
Fishing. Niue is in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, which means that it's surrounded by marine life. Boat fishing tours are a great way to get out on the water and try your luck with a fishing pole.
Diving and snorkelling. As with most Pacific islands, the scenery under the water is nothing short of incredible. Guided dive trips are available around the island and snorkelling gear is universally available as well.
